Sprucedale Faith Chapel

Mae Waters, founder of Rural Life Mission, started Christian outreach to northern rural communities in 1936. Her vision for the Lord’s work was to establish lighthouses for Jesus across the Ontario north.

In the summer of 1948 two Finnish ladies came to Sprucedale to begin a work amongst the large concentration of Finnish people in the Parry Sound area.

Through many servants of the Lord, a small church has been established in the village of Sprucedale. It stands as a Lighthouse for Jesus, that people may be set free from darkness and come to know Him personally as their Saviour.
