Round Lake Bible Camp Director

Job Title: Camp Director

Reports to: The Executive Director and Rural Life Mission Board

Primary Duties:   The Camp Director is responsible for all events at Round Lake Bible Camp, including staff recruitment, advertising, public relations, health and safety, programs, maintenance, rentals and development of new programs and upkeep of facilities.

Mission StatementRound Lake Bible Camp exists to challenge people to commitment to Jesus Christ and to aid them in their quest for Christlikeness.

Location:  The camp is situated approximately 85 kms. west of Thunder Bay ON and 2 kms. south of highway # 588. On Google Maps you will see it situated on the eat side of Round Table Lake. There are several winterized homes near the camp as well as several cottages.  The road is open all year round to the camp gate.  The surrounding area is rugged bush country with lots or rocky hills and many small lakes.

More About the Camp: The camp was established in 1944 and has seen many changes over the years.  There has not been any camp program now for two years due to Covid 19 and various health regulations.  Before this, there were seven weeks of summer camp, seeing one year a maximum total of up to 250 children and youth, and about 60 volunteer staff. The buildings are winterized, so we can accommodate 65 people for overnight events any time of the year.  We offer a variety of retreats throughout the seasons, mostly for women and youth.  Christian groups can also rent the facilities for their own activities.  Over the years, thousands of people have experienced God’s touch on their lives at the camp.  It is a special place in a beautiful setting, dedicated to the Lord and the building up of His kingdom in accordance with the above mission statement.
