Rural Life Mission, located in Hagersville ON, is looking for an Executive Director to take over from the present one who is retiring. At the present time this is a part-time position. A good proportion of the work is done at the office at 41 Main St. North. There are two other ladies who also work in the office (as bookkeeper and receipting/office work) on a part-time basis. One is doing the bookkeeping and one is doing receipting and other secretarial duties.
This is an administrative position. It also requires some preaching/pulpit supply and deputation. As well, there is travel to northern Ontario to encourage our missionary couples and families and to discuss their ministry and provide counsel when needed. It involves leading prayer meetings, writing newsletters, helping with the planning of our RLM annual conference and setting the agenda for board meetings and facilitating these at the Mission office at least six or seven times a year.
The Mission has a website (www.rurallifemission.ca) which contains the Statement of Faith and a short description of RLM ministry locations. There is a church in Armstrong ON, a Mission Home in Thunder Bay, a camp located an hour southwest of Thunder Bay (operated all year round). Two other of RLM churches are located in Geraldton ON and Sprucedale ON.
The Mission was incorporated in 1945 in Ontario. It is an evangelical independent, faith-based mission. The workers are expected to raise both their own prayer and financial support. A salary is paid on the first day of the month.
